GOD advances a passage only after every browser speech-completion callback. Recoverable silent failures are retried a bounded number of times without skipping words. If the browser claims to still be speaking indefinitely, GOD preserves the exact unfinished passage and visibly requests RETRY SPEECH instead of claiming audible completion. No microphone permission is required.

Raw microphone volume is only an observation, never a command or interruption. A spoken transcript must pass the self-voice echo guard before GOD responds. Microphone echoes can be suppressed by browser echo cancellation and headphones; true speaker identification is not available in standard browser speech recognition.

OLLAMA MODEL (optional, loopback only)

No model connection. Offline dialogue tracks topics and follow-ups; a connected, authorised local model provides open-ended conversation. Type into Talk even with the microphone off.

CONNECT explicitly permits sending the recent conversation (maximum 16 turns) to Ollama on this computer, at 127.0.0.1:11434. No cloud-model service is supplied. A browser speech-recognition service may use online processing.

ANSWER: no response yet

The microphone test is genuine only when HEARD changes from a recognised voice. TEST HELLO GOD checks text/reply output without using the microphone. The browser may block speech recognition for local files or require its recognition service.

When you activate live voice, the microphone may detect narration or traffic. Browser speech recognition cannot identify the physical speaker. Only final addressed phrases received while GOD is silent are eligible for replies; click PAUSE GOD FOR VOICE for a voice turn. Optional headphones mode enables microphone-activity interruption. Loudspeakers can leak into the microphone: acoustic echo cancellation and speech-text filtering reduce—but cannot eliminate—false triggers. No automatic permission request occurs at startup. Browser speech recognition may use an online service. If access is denied, automatic retries stop. Select RESTART LISTENING after a browser service interruption. On some browsers, recognition may require online services. Local rules do not replace an actual language model.
