    A Human Interface Device (HID) is a device conforming to a universal serial bus (USB) class that represents devices allowing a human to control a computer.

    Retrieving data from HID's is similar to traditional devices but HID devices can also accept output such as making a keyboards LED's flash or causing a force feedback response in a joystick actuator.
